Today I am sharing info for how to change the Login UI of your vCenter 6.0 U2. As this info is Already shared by William Lam in his blog. Thanks to him for introducing such wonderful information. Well I did some changes and made it easy to change the vSphere Login UI whenever you want. lets do it. But don’t forget to Read the Disclaimer before going ahead.
Disclaimer: This is not officially supported by VMware, if you decide to enable this, please use at your own risk and ensure you backup all original files in case you need revert back to the original configurations.
All the login UI and SSO services are handled by your Platform Service controller. So you need to make these changes in the Platform Service controller in case you deployed it separately. We are having the Platform Service controller separately so we are doing all the changes in there. If you have PSC+vCenter in same node you can make those changes there.
We need to modify some files to achieve it. Path for file locations are given below. You can Download the modified below from here
3. image file

Step 1. Extract the Files you Download from above download link. Use any FTP client for uploading the file in to the VCSA appliance.
Step 2 . Backup the unpentry.jsp and login.css files and paste the downloaded files here to the same place.
Step 3. Copy any wallpaper with the “image.jpg” name in to the img Folder. (Prefer High Definition wallpaper for good view & alignment)
